Changemakers and Pioneers

Changemakers and Pioneers

The Changemakers and Pioneers event, hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of the West of Scotland at Scotland House, Brussels on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October is a unique opportunity to showcase projects, hear of others’ experiences and broker new partnerships. Held as a series of parallel, thematic workshops, there will also be a specific session updating on the UK's association to Horizon Europe/Plan B as well as the latest funding opportunities.  The event will demonstrate the value of EU collaborative projects to the UK, and the value of UK organisations to those projects, underlining that the association to Horizon funding is essential whilst also presenting alternative forms of collaboration.

Most of all, the event will be a celebration of the changemakers, the innovators and pioneers who have been able to develop unique projects through European funding. Despite the obstacles placed before UK-EU partnerships and the challenges for future collaboration, there is a real need to continue to work together to ensure that all achievements have meaningful impact.

Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of the West of Scotland at Scotland would like to offer organisations a platform to showcase and promote their projects as part of the event programme, and give them the chance to broker new partnerships with other participants. In particular, academics are warmly invited to join this event. Although the event is free, unfortunately travel and accommodation expenses cannot be covered.
