‘Cookies, data and your privacy’?: Findings from Citizen Science CSI-COP Project

Join us in Brussels or online at one of the data protection and online privacy sessions organised as part of an EU-funded project (CSI-COP). The project is led by Coventry University, UK, with partners from across Europe: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/873169.

The event runs across the week of 23 to 26 May 2023 offering different languages across the week.

What we will be doing across the sessions is answering questions such as:

  • Do you wonder how many cookies are on that website you just visited?
  • Do you know what permissions to your mobile device’s function an app has (for example, a healthcare app accessing your contacts)? And
  • Hearing from citizen scientists who investigated apps and websites as part of the CSI-COP project to find out how much we are tracked online.

Attend in-person or online (Zoom details to be sent after registration). Limited places are available to attend the event in Brussels.
