The European Union COP side event ' Connecting hydrogen valleys with RepowerEU: up to global and down towards net-zero', will take place online on Friday 11 November from 16:30 to 17:30.

Connecting Hydrogen Valleys, a geographical area where clean hydrogen is produced and locally used, will spur the roll-out of a global hydrogen economy. There are currently 23 hydrogen valleys in Europe, a number the EU aims to double by 2030 to contribute to the goal of the Clean Hydrogen Mission to deploy 100 new valleys globally by 2030. Hydrogen valleys will also receive further support under RePowerEU. This session will promote hydrogen valleys as a way to accelerate global decarbonisation.
