The Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum – Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place annual conference will take place this year on 18 October in Brussels. The event will showcase successful projects on financing energy efficiency, climate adaptation and innovative energy planning, as well as initiatives working across Europe to facilitate the market for climate and sustainable energy finance.

The conference brings together cities, financial institutions and other actors to exchange on good practices and successful solutions to common challenges. The event is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy, the Directorate-General for Climate Action, and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors initiative.

This year's edition will showcase successful projects funded under the Horizon 2020 programmes and in particular the H2020 Energy Efficiency sub-programme and its successor, the LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme. It will also highlight projects funded under EIB ELENA, LIFE Climate programme and initiatives such as the Smart Cities Marketplace.
