The CSconnected semi-conductor eco-system: a regional cluster making a global impact

The CSconnected semi-conductor eco-system: a regional cluster making a global impact

Join Chris Meadows, Director of the CSconnected Cluster in Wales, to learn about the role of compound semiconductors in supporting Europe's ambitions for high-tech industries including the work of the cluster in Wales and opportunities for collaboration. The event will take place on 17 April from 14:00-15:30 at Wales House, Brussels.

Silicon Valley was the powerhouse that ushered in the digital age but next generation technologies (ranging from electric and autonomous vehicles to healthcare technologies, advanced communications, AI and quantum enabled devices) require a new generation of semiconductors with advanced properties that far exceed the capabilities of silicon alone. These next generation technologies are enabled by atomically engineered materials known as compound semiconductors.

Wales is home to the world's first cluster of organisations specialising in the research, design, development, prototyping and production of advanced, compound semiconductor technologies.

To register for the event please RSVP to: Events.Belgium@gov.wales by Friday 14 April.
