Design & Creativity WG Meeting: The importance of creativity in business – how can universities help?

The importance of creativity in business – how can universities help?

In order to respond to the end-users’ increasingly demanding needs, at the same time comply with sustainability and environmental requirements, industries have to be transdisciplinary and creative, which requires of course new creative skills. Therefore, regional universities adapt their curricula to make sure that industries find the right creative and highly qualified workforce that is in the engine of driving innovation forward.

The Design & Creativity and the Opening Science Working Groups of the ERRIN network are jointly organising a meeting on 7th March 2019 to explore the collaboration between locally-embedded universities and Culture and Creative Industries (CCIs) and eventually, to provide inspiring examples to the network members how to enhance the innovation capacity and creativity of the industries – in particular in the light of the upcoming EIT-cultural and creative industries call in 2020.

The meeting will host speakers from the European Commission DG RTD and GROW and good practices on successful collaboration both from the university and the industry side.
