European Commission technical dialogue & EUI Policy Lab on New European Bauhaus

On 16–17 June 2026, the European Commission and the European Urban Initiative will organise a technical dialogue on district transformation alongside a Policy Lab on the New European Bauhaus (NEB) in Rome.

The event will bring together cities, policymakers and experts to discuss key challenges in transforming urban districts, including affordable and sustainable housing, reuse of existing buildings and investment strategies.

The NEB Policy Lab will focus on translating principles into practice, addressing topics such as nature-based solutions, social inclusion and circular approaches, while drawing on lessons from EU-funded projects.

This is a valuable opportunity to gain insights into upcoming EU policy directions and exchange with key urban stakeholders.
