With a common understanding reached between the Council and the Parliament on Horizon Europe, it is now time for the Commission to launch the process of strategic planning, which will heavily influence how the programme is implemented. The Strategic Plan is set to ensure alignment with other relevant EU programmes, while it will also outline the main priorities of the first work programme. The EU R&I Days is one part of this process. 

The aim of the event is to set priorities for the future of EU research and innovation and to engage stakeholders to co-create and build the strategic priorities for the first 4 years of Horizon Europe. The event consists of 3 components; a Policy Conference, an Innovative Europe Hub and an Exhibition, comprising a range of thought-provoking debates, brokerage spaces and workshop sessions to provide opportunities for stakeholders to come together, deepen the dialogue and work across sectors and disciplines to help plan Horizon Europe.
