EWRC session

EWRC session: EER regions' pathways to economic recovery

The EER secretariat together with the EER 2020 regions – Business Region Gothenburg, Gdansk & Pomorskie and Navarra – are organising a virtual workshop on 13 October 2020.

Re-building the EU economy after the COVID-19 crisis will be a lengthy process that will require a coordinated, multilevel governance effort. The workshop will focus on how to re-ignite an entrepreneurial mindset in European regions and cities, as a pre-condition to re-starting Europe's economic engine and strengthening its long-term resilience.

Local economies in the EU will need a great deal of active entrepreneurship and innovation to cope with this challenge, taking full advantage of the opportunities brought by a green and digital transition. The workshop will focus on how to re-ignite an entrepreneurial mindset in European regions and cities, as a pre-condition to re-starting Europe's economic engine and strengthening its long-term resilience.

The workshop will bring together regions awarded the EER label in 2020 and, as in previous years, regional politicians and policy makers, stakeholders and EU institutions in charge of policies related to industry and SMEs.

Deadline for registration is 27th of September. Registration and more information here. General information about the session can be found here.
