The FLEXIZYME 1st Policy Dialogue will bring together stakeholders from industry, research, policy, and the wider bio-based ecosystem to exchange views on the opportunities and challenges related to scaling up industrial biotechnology and circular bio-based value chains.

The discussion will focus on two key EU policy initiatives: the EU Biotech Act II and the Circular Economy Act. Depending on their status at the time of the event, the discussion will explore either the latest proposals or the newly published policy frameworks, with particular attention to their implications for industrial biotechnology, feedstock valorisation, circular bio-based value chains and market uptake.

The insights gathered will inform the development and refinement of FLEXIZYME's policy recommendations and briefs.
