Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026

Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026

The Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on 20–21 October 2026.

The Summit will convene leaders from policy, science, industry, and civil society to explore how the bioeconomy can be scaled as a force for change. The Summit will highlight how bio-based solutions address pressing global crises, ranging from food and energy security to health, biodiversity loss and climate resilience, while ensuring that their deployment is inclusive, equitable and socially accepted.

ERRIN, through its Bioeconomy WG, will actively participate in the Summit by co-organising the workshop ‘Building an enabling environment for place-based bioeconomies to succeed. The session will explore the conditions needed to support the development and scaling of bioeconomy solutions at the regional and local level, including appropriate policy and governance frameworks, access to funding and investment, skills and stakeholder engagement. This activity builds on ERRIN’s Bioeconomy WG ongoing work to bring regional perspectives into EU bioeconomy policies and accelerate the transition towards place-based, circular and competitive bioeconomies.
