LIFE in the New European Bauhaus

LIFE in the New European Bauhaus

The hybrid conference on 15-17 November ‘Beautiful, sustainable, together: LIFE in the New European Bauhaus’ is the LIFE programme’s response to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. The three-day event is focused on behavioural change (Day 1), urban transformation (Day 2) and nature-based solutions (Day 3) and will highlight funding opportunities for NEB projects.

The New European Bauhaus encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to the challenge of sustainable and equitable living. This conference showcases projects (financed through the LIFE and Horizon 2020 programmes) working on different aspects of the transformation necessary for a carbon-neutral 2050, including:

  • technological ideas that embrace principles of circular economy
  • projects that preserve ecosystems and promote nature-based solutions
  • ideas that bring sustainability principles in building design including the circularity principles into practice, and
  • activities that aim at changing behaviour at all levels of society.

You may register to attend the event onsite or follow online. Join the community networking and matchmaking to meet the changemakers already working for a beautiful, sustainable and inclusive world.
