Regione Liguria Eusalp event

Liguria, Eusalp, Europe: mobility perspective by 2050

The Brussels Office of Liguria Region, in partnership with the 'Development of the Logistic and Harbour System' Department and the 'Regional Public Transport' Department, is organising an event in hybrid mode entitled  'Liguria, Eusalp, Europe: mobility perspective by 2050', on 13 October 2022, from 09:45 to 16:30, both online and at the 'Caduti di Nassirya' Hall - Auditorium of the institutional headquarters of the Liguria Region located in Piazza De Ferrari 1, Genoa.

The event is part of the calendar of events of the annual Presidency of the Alpine Macro-regional Strategy EUSALP assumed by the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano and will put the evolution of sustainable mobility in the EUSALP area at the centre of the debate. The event will look to 2050, when the full decarbonisation of Europe is envisioned, to discuss mobility of goods and passengers in relation to environmental, economic and energy sustainability.

The European Commission will provide an overview of the European Union’s policy on this issue, and MIMS and MITE will list the program actions currently being implemented and those evolving within the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience. As an example of a tool for technological and sustainable logistics, the LINKS foundation will describe the 'connector' developed within the FENIX project, funded by the CEF 2014-2020 programme.

In the afternoon there will be a double round table entitled 'Mobility in 2050: how will we move?' and 'EUSALP area: what are the prospects for mobility'.  These two moments are opportunities for discussion and exchange of points of view on the theme of mobility by 2050 in the areas of sustainability and innovation with contributions from EGTC Rhine-Alps, EUSALP Action Group 4, Youth Council of EUSALP, Group Italian Railway Net, Start 4.0 and of the Company Mobility and Transports of the City of Genoa (AMT).
