Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026

Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026

Registrations are now open for the Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026, co-organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE).

Taking place on 8-9 July in Brussels, the event will bring together stakeholders from the EU's eight Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies: Alpine, Danube, Adriatic-Ionian, Baltic Sea, Atlantic, Western Mediterranean, Black Sea and Greater North Sea.

Against the backdrop of discussions on the future EU budget and post-2027 programming period, this year's edition will explore how the Macro-regional and Sea Basin Strategies can contribute to key European priorities, including security, resilience, competitiveness, enlargement and place-based development. The event will provide a platform for exchange among EU institutions, national and regional authorities, stakeholders and civil society, while addressing governance, visibility, funding and cooperation opportunities for the future.

A call for stands is also open for organisations interested in showcasing their work and initiatives.

Register here by 24 June.
