MIP4Adapt event: Private sector best practices for climate-resilient infrastructure
On 17 November from 10:00 to 11:30 CET, MIP4Adapt will organise an online event on private sector best practices for climate-resilient infrastructure, with a particular focus on the needs of regional and local authorities.
As climate risks intensify, public authorities face growing pressure to protect, upgrade and redesign infrastructure while maintaining essential services and limiting future economic losses. Addressing these challenges will require investment, technical expertise and closer cooperation between the public and private sectors.
The session will explore how climate risk can be integrated into infrastructure planning and examine the role of risk assessment, insurance and finance in improving the investment readiness of infrastructure projects. It will also showcase private sector solutions, tools and services that can support the planning and delivery of climate-resilient infrastructure.
Regional and local authorities will gain insights into the development of bankable adaptation projects and relevant private sector practices. The event will also offer private sector participants an opportunity to learn more about the challenges faced by territories and explore potential partnerships with regional and local authorities.
The event will take place online and in English.
