Policy lab - Help shaping the future of heating & cooling and electrification policies
On 21 October and 4 November 2025, the NetZeroCities project, in which ERRIN is a partner, is organising an online EU Policy Lab to directly contribute to the European Commission’s forthcoming heating & cooling strategy and electrification action plan, ensuring these policies respond to the real challenges local communities face today. The event is open to members with Mission and Mission-minded Cities in their territories.
These are the main sessions of a 4-week sprint, which will include three further activities. The Lab takes a problem-set-focused approach, moving beyond abstract discussions to work on concrete challenges such as electricity grid strain, consumer uptake of district heating and fossil fuel boilers replacement.
Why participate?
Shape EU policy: Influence the Heating & Cooling Strategy and Electrification Action Plan so they align with local and national needs.
Bridge governance levels: Support policy coherence across local, regional, national and EU contexts.
Tackle real challenges: Work on practical solutions that can be implemented on the ground.
