The event will explore how the reformed public procurement rules could support innovation and the development of lead markets in Europe's regions more effectively, and how technology infrastructures could accelerate the scaling up of strategic and breakthrough technologies. There will also be an overview of the recently adopted 'Charter of access for industrial users to technology infrastructures' and how its implementation can enhance regional innovation ecosystems.
Finally, drawing on ERRIN's ongoing work on the European Competitiveness Fund, Horizon Europe, Regional Innovation Valleys and Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3), the discussion will explore how regional and local authorities can leverage their procurement capacity and infrastructure assets to strengthen place-based innovation ecosystems and support EU competitiveness objectives.
This meeting will take place on Thursday 8 October, from 10:00–12:00 in person at the ERRIN premises. Logged-in ERRIN members may find the agenda attached.
