Regional development in light of research infrastructures – the importance of ESS & MAX IV for local, regional, national and European innovation capacity

Region Skåne is organising a seminar on Wednesday 31 May, with important discussions about regional development in light of large research infrastructures. The chair of the Regional Development Committee in Region Skåne will reflect on the importance of large research infrastructures on regional development.  

Skåne is one of Europe’s most innovative regions where research infrastructures plays a key role in our smart specialisation strategy, being a host region of the infrastructures ESS and MAX IV. The event aims to highlight the importance of the research infrastructures for the local and regional development in Skåne, as well as how the infrastructures contribute to national and European competitiveness and innovation capacity. 

The event will be held in Brussels on the morning of 31 May, followed by a lunch, at Region Skåne Brussels Office.
