Risks and Solutions: How climate change is impacting our water and health

Climate change has a significant impact on the water cycle. It can cause flooding, water scarcity, and changes in water quality, which all pose a threat to human health. However, there are available solutions that can prevent and reduce these health hazards.

On 15 May, the European Environment Agency (EEA) will launch a new report titled "Responding to climate change impacts on human health in Europe: focus on floods, droughts and water quality" This report, produced by the EEA under the European Climate and Health Observatory initiative, is aimed at helping policymakers understand how floods, droughts, and worsened water quality, under a changing climate, can affect human health and well-being.
