The Road to Green Skills

The Road to Green Skills

Scotland House Brussels is organising an online panel discussion, "The Road to Green Skills", as part of the wider European Vocational Skills Week (16-20 May 2022).

With the transition to net-zero fast becoming a defining challenge of our time, this panel will bring together experts in the field to discuss the need to strike the balance between a just and fair transition while ensuring that no one is left behind.

With this in mind, speakers will explore the vital importance of upskilling, reskilling and overall equipping workers with green skills to not only meet evolving industry needs, but equally to work towards the ambitious government targets related to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.

The event will take place on 17 May 2022, 11:00-12:30 CEST (10:00-11:30 BST) with the participation of the following guests:

  • Jim Brown - Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, Dundee
  • Yoann Dhome - Hall32, Clermont-Ferrand
  • Fabienne Goyeneche - Michelin EU Office, Brussels
  • Felix Rohn - DG EMPL, European Commission

The discussion will be moderated by Laura Rayner, a policy analyst for the Social Europe and Well-being Programme at the European Policy Centre.
