Rural Pact webinar: Resilient rural communities through climate adaptation and energy resilience
The Rural Pact Support Office is organising a Good Practice Webinar on 'Resilient rural communities: strengthening preparedness through climate adaptation and energy resilience' on 26 November 2026, from 09:30 to 12:45 CET.
The webinar will explore how rural communities can reduce vulnerabilities and strengthen their capacity to prepare for and respond to climate-related risks and energy challenges. It will bring together public authorities, community organisations, researchers and practitioners to exchange experiences and identify approaches that could be transferred to other territories.
Following opening presentations, participants will join thematic exchanges on climate adaptation and preparedness and energy resilience. According to the draft agenda, the exchanges will run twice, allowing participants to take part in both discussions. Practical examples will provide a basis for exploring the role of local capacities, cooperation and collective action.
Local and regional authorities with an implemented initiative and tangible results can also express interest in contributing a good practice to the discussions. Further details are available in the ERRIN noticeboard call for contributions.
The Rural Pact brings together public authorities, civil society, businesses, researchers and citizens to support the EU’s long-term vision for rural areas. It provides a framework for cooperation and exchange across European, national, regional and local levels, helping rural communities become stronger, connected, resilient and prosperous.
