The European Committee of the Regions is drafting an opinion on "Regional Innovation Scoreboard and its impact on regional place-based policies". The opinion is meant to assess the effect of RIS on the design, implementation and monitoring of regional, place-based policies and strategies related to research and innovation.

To gather input and discuss the main issues regarding the opinion, the rapporteur of the opinion, Mr. Mikel IRUJO AMEZAGA (ES/EA), Representative of the Parliament of Navarre, together with his expert, Ms. María Dolores UGARTE MARTÍNEZ, are happy to invite you to a stakeholder consultation. The main questions that will be addressed are the following:

- How does the Regional Innovation Scoreboard influence and impact policymaking in your region?

- Do you believe that the Regional Innovation Scoreboard is aligned with the EU's regional and innovation policies?

- Is your region aware of the methodology used by the Regional Innovation Scoreboard?

Apart from the rapporteur, Mr. Mark Nicklas (Head of Unit, DG GROW Industrial Strategy and Value Chains) and Ms. Pirita Lindholm (Director, ERRIN) will give a short presentation.

ERRIN members are warmly invited to provide input - based on the three questions above - during the meeting or by sending input in advance to the Secretariat.
