Smart Specialisation for Sustainable Development Goals

A workshop on Smart Specialisation implementation to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will take place in Brussels this March. The two-day workshop aims to share practical experiences in applying S3 as a methodology to reach the SDGs through the implementation of localised, place-based, innovation-driven strategies in member states, regions and cities. 

The workshop will be divided into two days, where two different perspectives will be presented. 5th March will summarise the challenges of using S3 methodolgy in this way, before 6th March will bring togehter UN stakeholders to discuss the progress in testing these emerging global methodologies. 

The event will bring together representatives from EU and UN institutions, EU member states and regions, as well as UN global pilot programme countries.
