Smart Specialisation WG meeting: I3 Instrument – a look at the future and the current calls
This Smart Specialisation Working Group meeting will be focused on the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument, drawing attention to the experiences from using the initiative up to date, and reflecting on its future. Enriched by practical regional insights from applying to the I3 Instrument so far, the event will also offer information on the currently open calls for proposals running from 13 May to 12 November 2026. Finally, it will serve to explore more broadly how to create a more strategic interregional collaboration and complementary value chains through smart specialisation strategies (S3).
I3 Instrument supports testing, piloting, validation, and market replication of innovations - projects focusing on digital and green transitions, smart manufacturing, and strategic areas bringing innovation close to market.
The event will take place on 18 June from 14:00-16:00 in-person at the ERRIN premises. Logged-in ERRIN members may find the agenda attached.
