Stakeholder event on transition pathway for tourism

On 7 February 2023, from 13:15 to 17:30, DG GROW is organising an event to update stakeholders on developments and received pledges related to the tourism transition pathway. The objective is to share information on the tourism ecosystem, as well as on published pledges and commitments to support the Transition Pathway for Tourism co-implementation. It will also serve to introduce the follow-up mechanisms and encourage and advise stakeholders on developing their pledges and joining the Together for EU Tourism community. Attached is the agenda for this event.

Following the publication of the Transition pathway for tourism policy report on 4 February 2022, as part of the co-implementation process, DG GROW has invited all stakeholders to submit commitments and concrete pledges for action through an online call for commitments. So far, they have published two batches of pledges, one in June 2022 and one in October 2022. Since the second batch of pledges was published on the DG GROW website at the end of October, there are now more than 260 published pledges and overall submissions, received from 142 organisations, from 23 EU Member States and 7 other countries. Collecting pledges is still a key part of the co-implementation, with the next cut-off date at the end of February 2023, with publication of the next set of pledges in early spring.

This event will be organised in hybrid format, physically in Brussels (1B, Rue Froissart 36, 1040 Brussels, Belgium) and the online participation link is here.

Please fill in the registration form here by 28 January 2023.
