Starting the long-term today: Balancing short- and long-term thinking for present and future generations

Decisions made today will shape people’s lives for decades. Intergenerational approaches deal with immediate issues whilst safeguarding future generations so that they can inherit a thriving, stable Europe.

With a new five-year term of the EU institutions on the horizon, Scotland House Brussels and the ZOE Institute are delighted to invite you to their upcoming panel discussion. In it, they will explore how to balance the short and long term in practice. What can the EU institutions learn from future-minded governments, businesses and thought leaders?

They are delighted to welcome speakers from a panel of Scottish and European stakeholders to explore this. Join them on 22 May in Scotland House Brussels (18:00-20:00) to hear how these stakeholders are approaching governance for future generations, and from leading thinkers from future-fit industry and policy consultancy.

Let's discuss how Europe can start the long-term today.
