Sustainable Agriculture for the 21st Century

This two day online event will showcase research happening in Wales with contributions from partners across Europe that is helping to deliver agricultural systems fit for the 21st century. This research aims to sustain communities and local economies while contributing to tackling both the climate and nature crises.

The format for the event will be two days of discussion sessions held on 15 and 16 February with two weeks of open-plan brokerage time to enable presenters and attendees to network, hold 1:1 meetings and organise brokerage sessions.

There will be a particular focus on identifying potential opportunities within the Horizon Europe programme, specifically the calls within Cluster 6 (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment) and Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility).

Agriculture is a core part of Welsh culture and life with 88% of land in Wales used for one form of agriculture or another.
