Towards zero pollution in the agri-food sector

The European agri-food sector makes a major contribution to air, soil and water pollution and GHG emissions across the continent. The EU’s transition to sustainable food systems has started in many areas, but a lot still needs to be done across the entire value chain - from the production, packaging and transportation of food to consumption patterns. The Farm to Fork Strategy paves the way for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly food systems, but the solutions to achieve zero pollution in the agri-food sector need to be developed and implemented locally.

This webinar aims to showcase best practices on how to move towards zero pollution in the different steps of the agri-food value chain by applying circular economy approaches. Three projects from the Green Growth Community will present innovative examples of how to reduce pollution and the environmental footprint along the agri-food value chain. This will be followed by an interactive part, where participants will be able to apply the information from the presentations on different agri-food products and their value chains.

This webinar is an official Partner Event to the EU Green Week and is organised by the Green Growth project, in which ERRIN is a partner.
