Transforming permitting: Digital and AI in permitting processes

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), in collaboration with the Government of Navarra, are organising an in-person workshop on 28 April 2026 in Pamplona.
 
The event will focus on industrial permitting processes and explore how digital and AI-based solutions can contribute to more efficient, transparent and interoperable permitting workflows.
 
During the event, the recently published call for proposals 'Net-Zero AI4Permitting (PPPA-2026-NETZERO)' will be presented. Join the online Info-Session on 13 April. The EISMEA events can also be consulted here.
 
The workshop will bring together permitting authorities and other relevant actors to exchange experiences with permitting procedures, discuss common challenges and explore potential cooperation and consortium-building opportunities in view of the upcoming call.
