Transport WG meeting: Funding and policy frameworks for clean and resilient mobility
On 26 March from 10:00 to 11:30, the Transport Working Group will organise a meeting dedicated to funding and policy frameworks for clean and resilient mobility.
The session will explore how EU innovation and industrial initiatives can support clean, resilient and competitive mobility. Particular attention will be given to emerging approaches to innovation procurement and industrial collaboration and to their implications for regional innovation ecosystems and mobility stakeholders.
Vasileios Tsanidis, Innovation Procurement Programme Coordinator at the European Innovation Council (EIC), will present the EIC Innovation Procurement Programme, focusing on transport and upcoming developments aimed at strengthening innovative public procurement across Europe.
The meeting will also include an interactive exchange with members, inviting regions to share:
concrete investment needs in key mobility sectors to help inform the European Competitiveness Fund and ensure funding is directed where it is most needed;
specific research and innovation needs;
concrete examples demonstrating the importance of collaboration between territories and their research and innovation ecosystems.
The discussion will provide an opportunity for members to highlight regional priorities and contribute insights that can help shape future European funding and policy frameworks for mobility.
Participants are encouraged to actively contribute to the discussion and are invited to come prepared to share examples, needs or perspectives from their regions during the interactive exchange.
Members who would like to present a concrete example or input with slides are kindly asked to inform gaia.marotta@errin.eu in advance.
