Transport WG meeting: Presentation of the 2023-2024 Horizon Europe calls and updates on the ERRIN-POLIS opinion on the TEN-T regulation

After the summer break, the Transport WG will meet again on September 8 from 14:30 to 16:30. The meeting will be an occasion to introduce our new WG leader, Anna Tranberg, Stockholm Region EU Office, provide an update on the ERRIN-POLIS opinion on the TEN-T regulation, and present the 2023-2024 Horizon Europe calls with Marina Martínez, CDTI-SOST Office.

Updates on ERRIN-POLIS opinion on the TEN-T regulation

The new EU’s approach to Urban Nodes promises to support the development of the TEN-T and the role of cities and regions; however, amendments to the legislation are still advised. In June 2020, ERRIN and POLIS  published an opinion paper – “Strengthening urban nodes and innovation to enhance the capacity, sustainability, and competitiveness of the European transport system” – on the revision of the TEN-T guidelines based on the experiences of regional and local actors with the TEN-T implementation. Following the publication of the opinion paper and as a response to the consultation held in spring 2021 on the TEN-T regulation (No 1315/2013), ERRIN and POLIS released proposals for concrete amendments to the legislation.

2023-2024 Horizon Europe calls

As the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-24 is nearly finalised, in this WG meeting, we have invited Marina Martínez, Framework Programme Officer at the CDTI-SOST Office, to present the upcoming calls with a specific focus on destinations 2, 5 and 6.
