The European Commission has launched the second set of calls for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility Digital programme, with a budget of €277 million.

The Connecting Europe Facility Digital programme aims to support Europe's digital transformation, to allow for the increase in online interactions and growing need for connectivity.

At this info day, speakers from DG CNECT will cover the call in depth, including the evaluation and award process

The second calls for CEF Digital cover the following areas:

• 5G coverage along transport corridors
• 5G for smart communities
• Backbone networks for pan-European cloud federations
• Backbone connectivity for Digital Global Gateways
• EuroQCI (Quantum communication infrastructure)
• Operational Digital Platforms
