117 solutions identified during #EUvsVirus Hackathon

117 solutions to tackle the coronavirus have been selected as the winners of the #EUvsVirus Hackathon. Led by the European Innovation Council, the hackathon has also announced the top six challenge category winners, which range from scalable patient monitoring systems and medical supply initiatives to virtual learning platforms and short-term financing programmes.

The hackathon brought 114 nationalities together from across the EU and the world. The solutions were selected by a jury and weighted by potential impact, technical complexity and novelty, prototype completion and efficacy of business plans. 

In the next two weeks the winning ideas will be fiannced and scaled-up, with a Matchathon event due to take place in late May to match needs with resources.
