The 2023 European Green Capital Awards (EGCA 2023) and the 2022 European Green Leaf Awards (EGLA 2022) are now both accepting applicants. The awards recognise cities that are committed to becoming more sustainable. 

Due to the coronavirus crisis these rounds of the competition have a combined prize of one million euros, that will be able to support cities as they put in place sustainability measures. 

On 7 July there will be a applicant workshop online to provide cities with an overview of the 2023 evaluatioon process. You can register for the workshop by emailing applicantworkshop@europeangreencapital.eu before 3 July.
