Applications are now open for the Ignite NEB 2026 call for hosts

Applications have officially opened for the 2026 edition of Ignite NEB, an initiative under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology that aims to drive local innovation and community-led solutions across Europe.

The programme invites organisations from across the continent to step forward as hosts for transformative, community-focused projects inspired by the New European Bauhaus. Designed to bridge sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion, the initiative empowers local actors to turn ideas into tangible impact.

Selected host organisations will play a central role in fostering innovation at the grassroots level. They will organise a two-day (or longer) event that blends culture, creativity and ideation, bringing together changemakers to address pressing local challenges. Beyond the initial event, hosts will guide winning teams through an eight-month incubation journey, helping develop projects, start-ups and initiatives tailored to regional needs.

To support these efforts, each selected host can receive funding of up to €52,000, enabling them to deliver meaningful and lasting outcomes within their communities.

Ignite NEB 2026 represents an opportunity for organisations to become catalysts for change, strengthening local ecosystems while contributing to a broader European vision of sustainable and inclusive development.

Applications are open until 7 May 2026. Interested organisations can find more details and apply through the official Ignite NEB platform.
