Apply to host the Cities Forum 2027

Cities across Europe are invited to apply to host the Cities Forum 2027, one of the European Union’s flagship events on urban development. Organised under the European Urban Initiative, the Forum brings together city leaders, practitioners, policymakers and key stakeholders from across Europe. The event provides a high-level platform to discuss the future of cities, covering topics such as sustainable development, innovation, inclusion, and quality of life. Hosting the Cities Forum offers a unique opportunity to showcase local urban initiatives and innovative practices. It also allows cities to engage directly with European and international peers and networks. Host cities will have a direct role in shaping discussions on the future direction of EU urban policy. Cities of all sizes are encouraged to apply. The selected city will work closely with the European Commission to co-design and deliver the event. Applications to host the Cities Forum 2027 are now open.
