Apply to receive tailored support for identifying and obtaining financing for climate adaptation projects

Regions and local authorities that are signatories of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change Charter can now apply for tailored support to help bring their adaptation projects closer to securing financing.

Offered under the Mission Implementation Platform, this support aims to help public authorities move from planning to implementation by strengthening the maturity and financial structuring of concrete adaptation projects.

Selected projects will receive customised assistance depending on their level of development. This may include:

  • Further development of the project concept
  • Quantification of project costs and benefits
  • Support in designing a financing strategy
  • Preparation of materials to present to potential financiers
  • Identification and outreach to relevant financing institutions 

The support will be delivered through a tailored work plan adapted to each applicant’s needs, including defined content, formats and timeline.

Applications are open until 17 April 2026.
