Call for applications: Hub peer-learning visit to Lisbon

The EU-funded European Heritage Hub is inviting heritage professionals and representatives of cities and regions to apply for its upcoming Peer-Learning Visit in Lisbon, Portugal, taking place from 4–6 November 2026.

Organised in partnership with the City of Lisbon, the visit will provide an opportunity for peers from across Europe to exchange experiences, explore innovative approaches to cultural heritage and gain practical insights that can help transform local heritage initiatives and policies.

The programme builds on the Hub’s Open Call for Local Good Practices, launched in November 2025, which identified 10 exemplary local initiatives contributing to the green, digital and social transformation of cultural heritage.

Among the selected practices is Lisbon’s 'Memories of Lisbon', an initiative that addresses social isolation among older residents by engaging vocational education students to record their life stories and transform their personal testimonies into 2D animations. The practice will provide a concrete example for participants to explore during the peer-learning visit.

Heritage professionals and representatives of cities and regions interested in learning from peers and sharing their own experiences are encouraged to apply.
