Call for experts for artificial intelligence and data in education and training

As the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and data as tools in the education and training sector triggers a discussion about the ethics of their uses, the European Commission is forming an expert group on the subject.

The group's primary task will be to assist DG EAC and DG CNECT with the preparation of practical guidelines for educators, relating to the ethical implications of AI within the sector, ranging from the benefits of its uses for improving the learning process as well as the risks it brings to fundamental rights, like those relating to discrimination.

The call comes in light of the Digital Education Action Plan, which is being followed by ERRIN's Science and Education for Society Working Group.

Nationals from EU Member States or the European Free Trade Assocation countries, with expertise in AI or data ethics, as well as education and training are eligible to apply. The call is open until 25 May - learn more here
