Call to join the Commission Expert Group on the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe

On 15 May, the European Commission's DG Research & Innovation launched a call for applications for the selection of members of the Commission Expert Group on the Interim Evaluation of Horizon Europe. The group's aim will be to provide the Commission with strategic recommendations on maximising the impact of the future framework programmes, based on the conclusions of the ex-post evaluation of Horizon 2020 and of the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe, in order to feed into the design of the next Framework Programme 2028-2034.

The group will be invited to formulate a report considering among other things the progress of Horizon Europe, its added value given the needs and objectives of the EU, as well as the internal and external coherence of Horizon Europe and its articulation and synergies with other EU and Member State programmes.

The group shall consist of up to 15 members with high relevant experience who will be appointed by Director-General of DG RTD for up to 16 months. Members should be prepared to attend meetings systematically, to contribute actively to discussions in the group, to be involved in preparatory work ahead of meetings, to examine and provide comments on documents under discussion, and to act, as appropriate, as 'rapporteurs' on an ad hoc basis.

Find all the details and apply by 30 June here.
