The second CLIMAAX call for regions and communities is open between 1 July and 15 October 2024. The call aims to provide both financial and practical support to enhance regional climate and emergency risk management plans. The project will support European regions and communities in better understanding, preparing for, and managing climate risks by following the Union Civil Protection Mechanism strategy for risk management planning and supporting the design of Climate Adaptation Strategies.

Successful applicants will receive up to €300,000 together with technical advice and counselling to implement locally tailored methodologies using local data and approaches. The call is open to public bodies and non-profit legal entities.
