The European Commission has launched a public consultation on a European approach to micro-credentials. The consultation aims to gather the views of citizens, governmental and non-governmental organisations, plus education, training and employment stakeholders.

The upcoming Council Recommendation on micro-credentials for lifelong learning and employability will respond to the growing need for people to update their knowledge, skills and competencies to fill the gap between their formal education and the labour market.
