The European Commission has presented its Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy alongside an Action Plan of 82 initiatives to guide its work over the coming four years. 

The strategy supports the transformation of EU transport systems as they endeavour to become green, digital and more resilient to future crises. The result, outlined in the Green Deal, should be a 90% cut in emissions by 2050 through a smart, competitive, safe, accessible and affordable transport system.
