The European Commission has published its report of the Horizon 2020 funding programme for Science with and for Society (Swafs). The report offers an overview of the programme's achievements related to science education, science careers, gender equality, institutional changes and more, drawing on policy objectives. 

The report outlines recommendations for better cooperation between science and society as the DG R&I moves towards Horizon Europe. The recommendations focus on the recruitment of new talent into the sciences and a better pairing of scientific excellence with social responsibility.
