All stakeholders and citizens are invited to complete a consultation on the EU's new adaptation to climate change strategy. The Commission has launched the consultation to gauge the response to part of the EU Green Deal that will respond to increasingly frequent and intense climate change impacts. 

The Commission plans to put forward the new Adaptation Strategy in early 2021, building on the current strategy that was adopted in 2013. The strategy will address the impacts of climate change adaptation that the world is already experiencing, including record global and European temperatures and consequential heatwaves, droughts and wildfires. 

The strategy will seek to climate-proof the European economy, integrate climate aspects in risk management practices and step-up prevention and preparedness.
