Consultation: Sustainable and smart mobility strategy

Consultation: Sustainable and smart mobility strategy

As the Commission strives to reach the EU Green Deal target of reducing transport-related greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050, it has opened a consultation on its sustainable and smart mobility strategy. The strategy will be adopted to ensure this target is met and that the EU transport sector is fit for a clean and digital economy.

The strategy's objectives include:

  • Increasing uptake of zero-emission vehicles
  • Making sustainable alternative solutions accessible to the public
  • Supporting digitalisation and automation
  • Improving connectivity and access.

The Commission will be collecting feedback until 10 August 2020. Input to the consultation will be taken into account as the strategy is further developed and fine-tuned. Access the consultation here.
