EIT has launched the EIT Crisis Response Initiative as part of the EU's collective response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. €60 million have been mobilised to support innovators powering high-impact solutions that tackle the social and economic challenges caused by the pandemic.

The funds will support the lanch of new projects as part of the 'Pandemic Response Projects' scheme and help SMEs, scale-ups and start-ups through the 'Venture Support Instrument'. 

The investment will power innovations in health, climate change, digitalisation, food, sustainable energy, urban mobility, manufacturing and raw materials.
