EIT Culture & Creativity Calls for Proposals are published!

EIT Culture & Creativity published its first open Call for Proposals, which will help shape the first foundations of emerging ecosystems with activities in different areas. The application period will be open from 17 April to 31 May 2023. The Culture and Creativity KIC is seeking creative proposals for challenge-based and mission-driven calls which will help shape the first foundations of the emerging ecosystems with activities in the different areas of Education, Innovation, Creation and Society.

These proposals are expected to deliver innovative products, processes, services, or business models, designed to address global challenges Europe faces in higher education, innovation, business creation, and society. EIT Culture & Creativity will incorporate successful activities in its Business Plan for 2024-2025. For this round of calls budget available in 2024 is up to €10.45 million. An additional allocation of up to €3.45 million is earmarked in 2025 for pluriannual projects. Almost half of the available funds are reserved for innovation projects with a clear and viable commercialisation plan.

EIT Culture & Creativity’s Calls for Proposals in 2023 will also include opportunities for projects in higher education, business creation, and social innovation. These will fund cultural and social entrepreneurship initiatives that demonstrate scalable social innovation pilots to address local-based challenges and contribute to social cohesion. These calls are the first funding opportunities that EIT Culture & Creativity will launch during 2023. More calls for proposals are expected to be launched in the second semester of 2023, for activities starting mid-2024 and in 2025.

On 25 April the EIT Culture & Creativity KIC will host an online info-session to help potential applicants better understand EIT Culture & Creativity’s mission and drivers, as well as key formal aspects of calls.
