ERRIN deepens its work on the regional dimension of the Cancer Mission with the launch of ECHOS' Phase 2
Continuing its leading work on the integration of the regional and place-based R&I dimension within the EU Missions, ERRIN has joined the European Cancer Mission Hub Network (ECHOS) consortium at its kick-off general assembly meeting in Lisbon this September. In partnership with EUREGHA, ERRIN's Health Working Group will be working on ensuring that the impact of the National Cancer Mission Hubs (NCMHs) radiates across the whole territories of their Member-States while said NCMHs come to benefit from the vibrant and innovative R&I ecosystems across the European Research Area.
We very much look forward to working hand in hand with the over 60 partners and 30 participating countries on expanding, deepening and enhancing the impact of the NCMHs and allowing them to reach their full potential in the fight against Cancer.
Efforts on regional integration have already begun with yesterday's joint ERRIN-EUREGHA Online ECHOS Kick-Off Workshop which saw the project as a whole presented to regional stakeholders from across the Union, who then proceeded to discuss and put forward key impact pathways tied to mapping, integration, value-creation, financial and operational sustainability as well and the measures needed towards ensuring that said NCMH-regional connection is fit-for-purpose to the administrative, scientific, technological, economic and medical context of the given Member-State.
We thank the ECHOS secretariat for their support and leadership, as well as our regional partners for their eagerness in ensuring that their R&I ecosystems come to strengthen the NCMHs and vice versa.
