ERRIN & EUREGHA joint statement on Horizon Europe Mission on Cancer

ERRIN and the network of European Regional and Local Health Authorities (EUREGHA) have released a statement on the Horizon Europe Mission on Cancer. The statement follows ERRIN’s Health Working Group meeting where Mission Board member Tomi Makela presented the development process.

ERRIN and EUREGHA use the statement to call for the regional dimension of the Mission to be clearly defined and included in its design and implementation. The statement has three guiding principles:

  • Apply a bottom-up approach
  • Emphasise implementation and sustainability
  • Use a wide approach to assessing impact and effect.

The statement contains recommendations on the way regional and local actors, including health innovation ecosystems, can be considered and used in the Mission on Cancer.

You can read the full statement here.

ERRIN continues to follow the work on all Horizon Europe Missions closely, you can learn more on our dedicated Missions page.
